Physical constants

Speed of light in vacuum c = 299,792,458 m/s (exact, SI definition).

RF power

P(W) = 10^(P(dBm)/10) / 1000. 0 dBm = 1 mW; 30 dBm = 1 W.

Free space path loss

FSPL(dB) = 20 log10(d_km) + 20 log10(f_MHz) + 32.44. Wavelength lambda = c / f.

Cellular rasters

LTE channel raster = 100 kHz (0.1 MHz). The 5G NR global raster uses 5 kHz below 3000 MHz, 15 kHz from 3000 to 24250 MHz, and 60 kHz above 24250 MHz, with region-specific offsets.

The band directories and calculators use versioned Release 19 tables with separate uplink and downlink ranges. They include supplemental, broadcast, historical and satellite bands with their specific conditions. A channel reference is not a full radio configuration.

Source versions and tables are linked on every band page. Browse the directories for complete coverage of the cited band tables.
